Well it isn’t the most glamorus trophy by any stretch of the imagination, but it is a title none-the-less and has been taken more and more seriously by England’s big clubs in recent years.

US National Team Preview: Goalies

This will be the first of plenty of posts covering the US National Team on its run-up to the World Cup.
There will be a lot of scrutiny on this team, regardless of the situation. After a somewhat stunning Confederations Cup (if you take out the first Brazil game and all the red cards) expectations are that the USA will do no worse than qualify out of their group.
This post and three more to come will detail the candidates for each position; goalie, defense, midfield, forward; on the team. Who are the candidates? Who should start? Who will be a surprise?
We start with the goalies.
